These terms cover how hinesight Media LLC bills for monthly partnerships, how to change or cancel one, and what happens to your money when you do. They apply alongside your signed Partnership Agreement. If anything here conflicts with your signed agreement, your signed agreement wins.
Partnerships are month to month. There is no minimum term, no annual commitment, and no long-term contract.
Current tiers:
The Sounding Board, $500 per month
The Working Partner, $1,000 per month
The Right Hand, $2,500 per month
Each tier reserves a set amount of capacity each month. Most months do not reach the ceiling. It is there so neither of us has to guess when something has grown into a separate project.
Payment is made by automatic monthly charge through Stripe. Before work begins, you enroll a bank account or card and authorize a recurring charge for your tier.
The first charge is processed when you sign. The date that first charge succeeds becomes your billing date, and you are charged on that same day each month until the partnership ends.
hinesight does not invoice the monthly fee, and work is not performed in advance of payment.
Third-party costs are separate and are yours: advertising spend, software subscriptions, stock media, printing, and vendor fees. Wherever possible you pay those vendors directly. Nothing is ever incurred on your behalf without your approval first.
If a charge does not go through, you will hear from me and the charge may be retried. If payment is not received within five business days of your billing date, work pauses until it clears. Paused time does not extend the month and does not create extra capacity.
You can move up or down a tier at any time. Tell me before your next billing date and the new tier and price take effect on that date. Tier changes are not prorated mid month.
Two ways, and both count:
Cancel the subscription yourself in the Stripe billing portal. The link is in your welcome email and in every monthly reminder I send.
Or email me at indiahines@hinesightmediallc.com. No form, no reason required, no phone call.
Either way, the date you cancel is the date that counts.
Cancel at least 7 days before your next billing date and you owe nothing further. You are not charged again.
Cancel fewer than 7 days before your billing date, or after it, and there is a one time $250 late notice fee in place of the next month, whatever tier you are on.
Here is why that exists, plainly. The week before your billing date is when I decide whether to start something new on your behalf, expand work already underway, or hold capacity for you. Seven days is how I know not to. The $250 covers capacity I had already set aside and could not reassign on short notice, and it is there instead of charging you for a whole additional month.
Two things that make it fairer:
I email you a reminder at least 7 days before every billing date, with the date and the amount. If I do not send that reminder, there is no late notice fee that month.
The fee never applies if I am the one ending the partnership, and never applies to termination for breach.
The month you are currently in is not refundable, because that capacity was reserved when it was paid for. When you cancel, the partnership runs through the end of the month you have already paid for. I finish what is in progress and hand over what has been produced.
Work that falls outside your monthly capacity is quoted separately and invoiced, not charged to your subscription. Unless we agree otherwise in writing, those projects are billed 50 percent on approval and 50 percent on delivery, payable within 15 days of each invoice. Work begins when the first payment clears.
